Interested in submitting a book?

EcolitPress is a new, boutique publishing company that publishes less than five books per year in order to ensure that we stay true to our mission and fully support our authors. For this reason, we are highly selective when choosing manuscripts to publish, and all selected manuscripts must align with our mission of promoting social justice education and environmentally sustainable practices for children ages 0-8. Please familiarize yourself with our goals as a company before submitting a manuscript for consideration.

Submissions Policy

EcoLitPress currently accepts unsolicited manuscripts that meet the criteria described below. Due to the high volume of submissions, we respond only to manuscripts of interest to us. All other manuscripts will be recycled. If you have not heard back from us after three months, you may assume we do not have a place for your project.

What to Send

• Please submit only one manuscript at a time.
• Manuscripts should be typed and double-spaced. Illustrations are not necessary but should be included if you plan to illustrate your book. Do not include doodles or mock-up illustrations if you are not an illustrator.
• Please include your name, address, and contact information on the first page of your manuscript and in your cover letter. Be sure to list any previously published work or relevant writing experience.
• We are not currently seeking young adult or adult novels. Only send in a picture book manuscript that will be less than 42 published pages and that matches the themes of our company.
• Please make a copy of your manuscript, as we cannot be responsible for submissions lost in the mail. Manuscripts will not be returned.
• Please send submissions via regular postal mail. We do not accept submissions by email or on a computer disk.
• Please do not include a self-addressed stamped envelope for return of your manuscript. We respond only to manuscripts of interest to us; all other manuscripts will be recycled.
